Good Choice ;-)

well, this was my first week in volunteering at my clinic. So far i didn't do anything buy filling, since it's a new building and instead of racks, most of the files are still in numbered boxes, along with little confusion about what goes where too. the atmosphere itself is pretty good, and i loved it. So far however i only volunteered about an hour a day, due to circumstances that didn't allow me to do other wise. Anyhow, i think im going to like volunteering this semester, and it was a good choice, i should've made that choice last time.

Go.Go.Go

So, the last time i was here i told you guys that my next post will describe my first day in the clinic. Well..it turns out that that's not entirely true after all, it will tell you however that I am in, but not my first day yet (unless if was going to be late a couple of days posting this). So the good news is that i will start this project learning probably this week by Thursday, but also i will start a couple of other things too. The only thing i can do now is to just Go Go Go.
Now next time i WILL describe my first day, till then...

Hmm!!

It comes a time in a man's life where he realizes that 3 weeks have passed since the start of the semester instead of 3 days. With everything that has come up with this week, plus this week's cell test i was only able to shoot one email to the clinic i want to volunteer in this semester. After the test im aiming to do what is necessary to see to it the next time i write on this blog, it's going to describe my first day in the clinic....hopefully. If not..then im in trouble :S

First & blank

Do you know the feeling you get that after a long day you sit on your laptop and try to write something but all that is in your head is nothing but a blank? The only thing i can really think of now is my volunteer assignment that i have to complete for this semester. Last year for Medical microbiology i completed my ten hours at Legacy, and i hope i wont be doing that this semester again. Although i did learn a lot out of them they nearly never regarded any safety rules. When i walk in labs for example they would have an open bin container with needles and sharp objects sticking out of it, with the bin lid open and a large sign on it that reads "hazardous." Keep in mind that this is a clinic that specializes in STD patients. The good side of it was that i learned much more about STD patients and the huge complexity of it too.
Lets see what happens this semester.
